Bio
Andrea Tolosa-Cotoré (Zaragoza, 1993) is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and educator whose work is deeply rooted in the rural environment of Pancrudo (Teruel, Spain). Her professional path is defined by a constant hybridization between artistic creation, cultural mediation, and pedagogical innovation, adopting the posture of a/r/tography to explore the intersection of sensible experience and systemic reflection.
Her profile stems from a coherent progression that integrates solid technical expertise in audiovisual production and animation—gained through international stays in Paris and Toulouse—with academic excellence. She graduated with honors from the University of Salamanca, receiving the Extraordinary Graduation Award.
Andrea’s artistic practice unfolds through painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, and Land Art, exploring materiality as a relational space between the human and the non-human. This research has crystallized in competitive site-specific residencies at prestigious centers such as Azkuna Zentroa (Bilbao) and ETOPIA (Zaragoza). Her work, including projects like Ven a jugar conmigo (Come play with me), has been recognized in national calls such as the SPIRITU Young Art Prize.
Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Education at the University of Zaragoza, her research-creation examines the production of "contingent artifacts" as a response to the contemporary crisis of fragmented attention. Through her innovative ICA methodology (Itinerary of Atmospheric Correspondence), she transforms educational spaces into laboratories for perceptive de-automation.
In the academic field, she has served as a lecturer at the University of Zaragoza with an outstanding evaluation.
